| Paladins are seen as the cross between the holy priests and the most powerful of warriors. Though they aren't seen as being as strong as the other 'upgrade' job classes, they are given access to many new skills including healing themselves and others around them, as well as infusing their weapons with holy energy. Paladins are completely Hume, their secrets held in high confidentiality by the highest of Hume sages who are able to kill themselves in less than a second should the enemy get ahold of them wanting secrets. - To unlock Paladins:
The Hume is called upon to drop whatever task they are doing, unless it is something of grand importance, and accompanied by one of the Hume sages to Darnasia. Along the way, they are to defend the sage from attacks and prevent any form of abduction, never once has their not been an attempt when making the rite of passage.
Once in Darnsia, they meet with a Zilart sage where the Hume must prove themselves to the Zilart as being an ally to the Zilart. This is not always a success the first time and sometimes has even gone so far as giving the Hume a quest that could be very life threatening. But once they prove themselves, the Zilart sage blesses them with magic capability, and the Hume sage gives them their holy magics.
