| Cannoneer are the kings and queens of ranged combat. They are taught to use any and all weapons used at a distance, specialising in the new weaponry recently developed; Arrowcanons. Like Rogues, they are also trained to be stealthy as they commonly make good snipers, taking out enemies at long range before they get a chance to even become aware of their presence. Most Cannoneer are Viera due to their closeness with the stealthy Miqo'te as well as they excellent range of vision. - To unlock Cannoneer:
The Viera passing a certain range of expertise in their range skills are offered their promotion by the elder Cannoneers. They are taken to a secluded part of the forests around Kabutan where a special training range is set up. They are then given a task to destroy as many of the targets with a beginner varient of the Arrowcanon in a very short set amount of time. The task has been known to take weeks to adjust and control the Arrowcanon with such ease needed.
Upon the completetion, they are then sent to Fusheyila where they work with the Selkie and TaruTaru on hunting missions whilst their own unique Arrowcanon is made to work exactly to the users specification. However after the weapon being forged, it is unusable until the completed weapon is taken to Darnasia where it has to be enfused with magical energy to be made to work fully. After wards, the Ranger returns to Kabutan and is officially announced as a new Cannoneer.
